How not to dilute your iced milk tea, by Tai Hing 太興著名奶茶的招數

Tai Hing (which I previously reviewed in TST East) shows us why it’s known for its milk tea.  This is from the branch near Central Market.

Unique and also pretty smart huh.  Another way to do it is of course make the ice cubes using the drink itself.  By the way I tried making Coke ice cubes, and it does still fizzle when melting (and you can see the holes in the cube’s surface where the bubbles popped)…neat party trick!  Too bad after weeks in the freezer it had that freezer water taste!

I wonder if one could make say vodka ice cubes, and spruce up an ordinary looking glass of water…

  1. My favorite milk tea place. Right which is the restaurant which does milk tea ice cubes? I heard of that but never tried myself.

  2. At “Cha Chan Tang” in NY Chinatown you can order a milk tea which comes in a glass bottle in a bucket of ice. It’s pretty cute.

What's on your mind?
